Welcome to the West Country Scribes website  
We are a small and friendly calligraphy group who meet near Wellington, Taunton, Somerset, aiming to develop our own skills and encourage calligraphy locally.  We are affiliated to the Calligraphy and Lettering Arts Society [CLAS].

We hold regular workshops through the year.   Meetings are held in Rockwell Green Village Hall, Popes Lane, Wellington, Somerset TA21 9BU.  Our meetings are open to members and non-members, but booking is essential.

We welcome new members who would like to take the opportunity of developing their calligraphy and exploring what is possible in this absorbing skill.  Many of our workshops are suitable for beginners; please enquire using our contact form if interested, or click on the email icon at the bottom of this page, and we will phone you back.  You can be assured of a warm welcome with plenty of encouragement and support. 

Tutored workshop days are £30 for members, £40 for non-members.
Practice Day and untutored Practice Day fee : £10 for all participants.
